Therefore, the mold erecting master and the mold master must know the factors affecting the mold life, and formulate certain measures and methods to increase the mold life and ensure production.
There are 8 main factors affecting the service life of the die:
(1) influence of raw materials: the thickness tolerance requirements of raw materials of aluminum shell, material hardness requirements and whether the surface is clean will affect the service life of the die.
② Mold guide structure: there must be a reliable guide structure to reduce the wear of the mold and avoid the damage caused by the dislocation of the upper and lower molds.
③ Influence of die geometry: whether the geometry of the upper and lower dies is consistent has a great influence on the wear of the die.
④ Influence of die material: the nature of die material is an important factor affecting die life.
⑤ Influence of heat treatment process of die material: the heat treatment of material affects the surface strength of die.
⑥ Press fitting accuracy of stamping machine tool: whether the press fitting level of stamping machine tool has a great impact on the die.
⑦ Correct use of mold: it includes whether the mold is properly assembled, whether the debugging is stable, whether the cleaning and lubrication work is continuous, which are important aspects of improving the service life of the mold.
⑧ Correct and timely maintenance: in case of failure in production, it shall be repaired online or handled offline in time.
